Looking to borrow or purchase a cold weather waterproof blanket. I do not blanket any of our horses (never have) and truthfully do not know much about the various types of blankets. We recently took in a 30yr old petite Arab gelding for a friend. The horse was underweight to say the least...no fault of the owner it was a lease situation. We are rehabbing him and he will probably live out his days on our farm. Problem is due to the amount of fat and muscle loss he has endured he will not be at a weight which I am comfortable with him maintaining his own body temp by the time cold weather settles in...such as tonights moderate drop in temp combined with rain. I am in need of a waterproof insulated blanket for him...maybe even a light weight and a medium weight one. He has worn blankets before and is a pretty low key horse. He measured 67-68 inches. If anyone has a blanket meeting my needs that is willing to let me borrow it for the winter or purchase it I would greatly appreciate it. Side note...I already contacted Libby with A Bit Used and she doesnt have any on hand right now. Just PM me. Thank you!!
