Looking to pick brains on two things please, we have a concrete - TopicsExpress

Looking to pick brains on two things please, we have a concrete floor (boo) and rendered walls, we are over wintering in what was a dusty earth floor barn, and so far are in the middle of chucking rugs down and making it as warm as poss, we need to keep the dust down as have a 5 year old and a 10week old baby, the floor has been sealed with a paint, the walls also have been painted, how would you suggest going about joining the floor and the walls in the bottom edges? Its all a bit too dusty and wiggly edged to get clean enough to paint, the walls are waaaay too uneven to be able to plank a skirting board along.... Any other ideas? Also any other quick, cheap solutions to bringing in light? We only have one window, the walls re v thick and the window is low, the barn is only 35 Sq metres, but dont want to live with the lights on all winter as reliant on solar, putting roof lights in is not an option as we want to keep the outside the same and its a tin roof which needs insulating, plus we dont want to be spending money on removing panels of roof and insulating around it... We have a wooden door, which we will put a window in, but short of leaving the door open all winter we wont have much light :-/ concerned about our eyesight if we are living in a permanently dim barn all winter! There is a small window above the door, triangular in shape which we have filled with glass bottles, and we will be putting mirrors up to reflect light around, just wonder if anyone else has any other crafty solutions :) xx thanks x
