Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.(Hebrew 12:2)! My bethren, i want you all to know that if you must wear your crown of glory, you must have to endure the pain of your cross. As the saying goesyou cant eat your cake and have it! Most of us now dont want to endure the pains of the cross, but yet we want to enjoy the reward of the cross. Jesus often told those that wanted to follow Him toTake up your cross and follow Me. That is still the command today, if you must truely follow Christ, you then must take up your cross. Dont fix your eyes on the world, the pains and trials, rather fix your eyes on Christ and the great reward of the cross you are bearing. I will not tell you that its that easy, but when you are determined, the grace of God will see you through. Our chastening for the present seemeth not joyous, but grevious: but afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness. Yes! know our chatisement by the Lord is for our greater good that we might be partakers of His holiness! When you take your eyes from Jesus, the cross becomes too hard to bear, but looking up to Jesus makes the cross easier to bear. Dont expect the devil to fold his hands and watch you inherit eternal life, he must fight to stop, deter and weaken you, but you have to make up your mind to bear and overcome whatever obstacles he puts your way! Dont be weary or faint in your minds. As we run this heavenly race, may God give us the grace and strength to bear the cross, stay focused and overcome every obstacles in Jesus name! SIGNED: AKATE.
