Looks like I better weigh in on the Miami Dolphins/Richie - TopicsExpress

Looks like I better weigh in on the Miami Dolphins/Richie Incognito/Martin bullying episode, especially since no one asked me to: From what Ive heard and read it seems the team wanted Incognito to toughen up Jonathan Martin, and Incognito went overboard. It reminds me of the moral of the story in A Few Good Men and Full Metal Jacket. From what team management has been saying, its clear they are trying to make it seem as though they have no complicity in it. Im ashamed of my favorite sports team right now. Its the job of the coaches and other staff to build a cohesive team and improve the performance of its players. Do teammates have a role in helping each other be better players and build the relationships that create team cohesiveness? Absolutely. Does that include what Incognito did and said? Absolutely not. The coaches and staff are in their positions because they are supposed to be wise and responsible. What the team management did or didnt do which allowed the Incognito/Martin situation to occur is a dereliction of their duty. Im not big on demanding people lose their jobs over things like this, but maybe Miami should forfeit their next game so that a price is paid for the failure of the entire team.
