Looks like good stuff here! I am Bruce Bennett a retired Carman for many years turned engineer at the last. I originally Worked for SP at Houston ( Englewood Yard) Was loaned to Amtrak for 13 years also mechanical department. Got laid off SP in 1986 and wound up in Corpus Christi on the Texas Mexican railway where I did the rebuild of the equipment on the Tex Mex Express. Once it started I rode nearly every trip it made!. SP recalled me in 1990, and laid me off again later that year and I worked as chief mechanical officer on the Texas Limited passenger train from Houston to Galveston for several more years. When UP bought the SP I was at Englewood and they wanted to send my to Idaho! I instead moved to NW Arkansas to work for the Arkansas & Missouri! I was as they said in railroad slang a boomer, working many jobs for many companies! Always willing to help answer questions, My little layout is just restarting, using Digitrax DCC and having a blast. Railspot will be getting more of my photos of TM including the interior of the train!
