Looks like the PNG Power workers union are threatening the Government to attend to their petition by this Friday or else there will be a withdrawal of their services which basically means - more blackouts. Whats ironic is that the power company is currently operating a load shedding program so power cuts are already the order of the day. Now, with this threat coming along, how much of an impact will this withdrawal of services have under the current load shedding program – its like, theyre threatening to switch the power off during a blackout! They have genuine concerns for sure and the Government is looking at ways to improve the situation but you know its frustrating for customers to be on the receiving end.
