Looks like we are in for some potentially wet & windy weather tonight! A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for the City. Summer thunderstorms can result in localized flooding, downed trees and power outages. Take a few precautions now to protect your property and yourself. -Secure lawn furniture -Check to see that catch basins near your home are free of debris -Fill up your vehicle with gas -Have some food items on have that you can easily prepare if the power does go out -Operate generators safely Residents are advised that trees have been weakened by Post Tropical Storm Arthur. Winds associated with a severe thunder storm could bring some of these trees down, bringing power lines with them. Be careful around downed power lines.
