Looks really attractive. But there are a few things I am wondering about: 1. how good is the camera? 2. I see it does RAW in DNG format. Thats good, because Im a still photo guy and need all raw 3. 12 megapixel is around the same thing as the GoPro, so thats good. How long will it be before it lands on its camera and the landing gear doesnt deploy? Should a person build a raised landing pad with a hole in the middle for that eventuality? 4. The 2.9 kg weight is .9 kg over the essentially totally deregulated new Canadian rules coming. Well have to see in a few weeks what the regs are for 2-25 kg. They will be much more open, but this still fits in that category, which sucks. 5. The camera is supposed to be removable, supposedly for upgrades. Will they actually support it beyond one upgraded camera, or expect you to buy a whole new airframe? Will third parties make gopro gimbals for it? 6. How much will batteries be? It appears it has less flying time than a Phantom 2, but substantially more than a Phantom 1. I can deal with 18 minutes, but is it actually 18 minutes? Will I need two or three batteries, or more? 7. How does it hold up to high winds? 8. Its specs say no operation colder than 0 C. Can you fly it in colder than that? I have flown my Phantom 1 in -15 C. That negates 1/3 of the year in Canada otherwise.
