Lord Creator is probably best known for his 1970 song Kingston Town which was covered by UB40 to huge success in 1989. He released Don’t Stay Out Late in 1963 which became a massive Jamaican hit and went on to work with the likes of Clancy Eccles, Coxsone Dodd, Tommy McCook and Byron Lee. Unfortunately, apart from a little work with Lee Scratch Perry, there was very little from Creator once into the 1970s and he fell upon hard times. Eccles funded Lord Creator’s return to his homeland Trinidad but it wasn’t until UB40’s cover that the royalties brought better fortune. https://youtube/watch?v=oq2kIAJEIpk
