Lord Ganesha is the one who removes obstacles...one who allows us to see all is possible....... Namaste dear Friends/Devotees we meet this very lovely Saturday morning bringing you excerpts from the most beautiful powerful meaningful Program SHANTI VANDANA by none other than our very own Pt KRISHEN RAMDEEN. This is a special weekend in our Hindu calender as we celebrate Ganesh Chathurthy/Ganesh Uthsav. Pt Krishen Ji shared some very beautiful qualities of Lord Ganesh this morning, qualities we can learn from and apply to our lives. Every year there are significant dates for devotees of Lord Ganesha, they fall in the months of January/February and August/September......Ganesha is the Lord of all troubles, those who have full faith in HIM devotees will be granted their desires.....when we seek the blessings of Ganesha..it is to remove all negatives in this world.... Just like how a butterfly has to push out of the hard shell for us to see its beauty....we too need to open our minds as we become so armoured, to let those obstacles we have created to remove them.....these obstacles we have created in our minds we should pray to Ganesha to remove them....its NOT the external obstacles....... Pundit Ji explained so beautifully the qualities of Lord Ganesh Gana - group or a body of followers . HE was given the vardhan that HE will become Ganapathy. HE can be considered the Head of all Gods, the Lord of the Lot, the Lord of ALL we are dealing with that which can be numbered....... ......HE is the son of Parvathy. HE is HIS Mothers pet.....You will always be a little child, a pet to your mother. HE was created out of the dirt from Parvathys body. Vinayak means special leader, qualities that differentiate you from others.....we must become the CEO of our life...the one who allows us the leadership qualities in us....HE is known by different names and each has its significance ....... To remember Lord Ganesh not as the one with just the elephant head...HE is one of WISDOM....HE is capable of making everything possible....what you think is impossible, HE can make it possible......Lord Ganesha with one tusk, HE was originally a two tusk face, one was broken when he fought Parasuram and there is also another story that HE broke HIS tusk to write Valmikis Ramayan.......Lambodhara means huge belly to digest anything that comes HIS way.....Ganeshas huge stomach represents anything is possible...... ......the mouse is HIS vahan (transport) HE is the Lord of all obstacles....HE has yellowish eyes...HE has the elephants head. Elephants are considered an auspicious symbol in Hindus....every human being strives for power...the massive elephant was signified as power.....Lord Ganeshas trunk is curved posture not straight....an elephant can lift anything with the trunk..its always active. THE SYMBOL OF POWER IS ALWAYS ACTIVE NOT INACTIVE! the trunk is manoeuvrable, it can pick up the smallest needle even in the midst of 1000s of objects....IT TAKES WHAT IT WANTS AND LEAVES BEHIND THAT WHICH IT DOESNT........ This is worth reading twice...a very important and powerful statement indeed!!! There are those amongst us who are so absorbed in greed that they will take that which they want and also that which they dont! Pt Krishen Ji went on to explain Lord Ganeshas qualities HE has large ears...reminds us although its part of the elephants head it gives different interpretation...the deeper philosophy, the large ears are like the huge antenna that gets information from all over and then to digest and transmit.....the big ears represent capacity to allow the human being to hear all sides of stories before the mind processes it..... In Tulsidass Ramcharitramanas He referred Bhagawan as Ganapathy....in His 1st verse He starts by saying HE whose very remembrance ....who is the repository of all wisdom...the dumb become very vocal, the lame can climb...may you always be gracious onto one in this eye of Kali Yuga.... A very beautiful words of wisdom message from Pt Krishen Ji this Morning on SHANTI VANDANA ...giving us a comparison as to how we can use the qualities of Lord Ganesha in us, around us and amongst those we love and care....this is a Program where you learn as you listen the messages are broken down in the simplest form possible by Pundit Ji and they are very practical.
