Lord God, our ever watchful Shepherd, pls lead, guide, & tend us dis day; without Your restraining rod we err & stray. Father, pls hedge up our path lest we wander into unwholesome pleasure, & drink its poisonous streams; direct our feet dt we be nt entangled in Satans secret snares, nor fall into hs hidden traps. Defend us frm assailing foes, frm evil circumstances, & frm ourselves. Our adversaries are part & parcel of our own nature; they cling to us as our very skin; we can not escape their contact. In our rising up & sitting down they cause us pains; they entice with constant baits; our enemy are within d citadel. Come with almighty power & cast them out, pierce thm to death, & abolish in us every particle of carnal life dis day, I pray in Jesus Mighty name, Amen. Gud morning.
