Lord I am touched with your patience with me, over the years you have been working on me and on my character to make me fit into your divine plans. You picked me up from the gutter of sin, you overlooked my weakness and shortcomings and said to me Fear not, I will make of you a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth. I wandered then how that will be possible. Months have rolled and you have kept at this process. You have not discarded me despite my slow pace of conforming to your purpose. My challenge as one who must walk in your footsteps is to be obedience when it is against my will, and to be patient with you as you continue to teach me your ways and will. I may still appear like a reed today but faithful is the love that drew me and strong is the hand that holds me. The blood that cleanses me is reliable. The one that calls me is able to perfect all that appears incongruent in me and make me one of His choice vessels, as long as I continue to follow Him obediently even at my own pace. Amen!
