Lord, help ME grasp this concept.. God wants me to become godly - taking on His values, attitudes, and character. His ultimate goal for my life on earth is not comfort, but character development. God wants me to develop the kind of character described in the beatitudes of Jesus (Matthew 5:1-12), have the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), love (1 Corinthians 13), and characteristics of an effective and productive life (2 Peter 1:5-8). The Bible says, Take on an entirely new way of life - a God-fashioned life, a life renewed from the inside and working itself into MY conduct as God accurately reproduces His character in me - Ephesians 4:22-24 (KJ) 22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Help me Lord and anyone else this speaks to Someone needs a miracle today. Lord, put some soul on my heart today to pray for. someone who feels lost, hurt and confused. Help me Lord be diligent in my prayers. I pray for Karol Wilcox this day
