Lord, we love, honor, and worship You today. We thank you, Father, for exchanging the heavy burden of tale-bearing to the easier, lighter burden of prayer for our beloved Gary, Indiana. You have elevated us, Lord, to renewed hope; and we thank you. Your Holy Spirit is now at work in the hearts of its citizens – past, present, and future. Yes, future citizens, Lord, whose efforts You will use to overcome the element that threatens our city. We thank You, Lord, for guarding our precious memories and for turning them into prayer. Prayer, dear Lord, that is the key to restoration of the hearts of man. Thank you, Lord, for this facebook page where we can come for refreshing of the hope You have placed in our hearts. Forgive us, Father God, for the times when we missed it – for the missed opportunities to make a difference. And as we continue paying tribute to the city of our fathers, enrich and uphold our vision for renewal to overtake and overcome the tales of “urban blight” that have been spread. You are the God of all hope. Please hear and honor our heartfelt prayers, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
