Lord what did we do to deserve this??? We go to pick up the boat and head home, and on the way, stop and get my new puppy. The mechanic had put a motor on the boat that was not the one we bought. A mistake. So they close at 5, and offer to pay for us a hotel for the night so we can pick up the boat in the morning after they change the motor. Ok. We get on I 20 and head toward Acadia to get the puppy and after that, get a hotel room. I call the kennel and tell him we are on our way. About 3 miles on I 20, i notice jerry acting like something is wrong with the truck. It gets worse VERY FAST. By the time he gets onto the median, the power steering is GONE, and the battery light is on! REALLY? He says i bet the belt broke. He gets out, cars trucks, semis....all racing by. I see him reach into the hood and out he pulls a VERY LONG BELT. IT WILL CRANK BUT NO POWER STEERING. I LOOK OUT MY WINDOW, ITS 2000 DEGREES, vehicles racing by and here we sit. I just start to cry. Of all things, of all times. I call the puppy man, we will get my new baby tomorrow...he offers to come take us somewhere. I again look out my window and see that we have broken down across the service road from the LOUISIANA STATE POLICE. Have you ever felt like you were gonna lose it? This HOT mama would normally lose it, but i think i will just cry instead.
