Lord, will You please help me to clothe myself with humility by thinking of myself as a servant to those around me? Everything I have and everything I am is because of You, so I cannot boast as if I accomplished anything on my own. Help me to walk in freedom from pride and arrogance so that I will receive Your grace, which you give to the humble. In the precious name of Jesus, Amen. “Clothe (apron) yourselves, all of you, with humility—as the garb of a servant, so that its covering cannot possibly be stripped from you, with freedom from pride and arrogance—toward one another. For God sets Himself against the proud—the insolent, the overbearing, the disdainful, the presumptuous, the boastful, and opposes, frustrates and defeats them—but gives grace to the humble.” (1 Peter 5:5b)
