Lorettas attack came on suddenly Friday night without warning. She experienced excruciating pain that felt like having an elephant sitting on her chest. The Paramedics checked her blood pressure which registered 220/120. This is double what is considered normal. Under these extreme symptoms there is an increased risk for developing a stroke, heart attack or worse. During emergencies of this nature every minute counts. Our CCFD and Paramedics have always been there for us during emergencies. County Services will cost us more than to retain our own qualified dedicated staff and to refer to this post as a scare tactic is both insensitive and insulting especially today.
