Lori Bradley-Lewis mentioned going to a neighbors house as a kid - TopicsExpress

Lori Bradley-Lewis mentioned going to a neighbors house as a kid to watch The Wizard of Oz on TV in color. I, too, am of the generation who saw it annually on a black-and-white TV for several years before seeing it in color for the first time. It seems everyone of my generation has the same story - the first family in the neighborhood to get a color TV invited all the neighborhood children over to watch it, and it was a HUGE DEAL. Which brings me to todays topic - SOUNDTRACKS. This is the cover art of the first copy of the Oz soundtrack that I had as a kid. I always thought this cover was created from a black and white still and painted it in color ... by someone who had only seen it on a black-and-white TV! What other possible explanation could there be for Dorothy having a PINK dress instead of BLUE GINGHAM???
