Lorraine Graziano Crimando December 26 at 10:56pm · Taipei, Taiwan · Edited · When Bill de Blasio was running for NYC Mayor, he made a lot of promises. By now, we all know what they are because theyre most remarkable for their invisibility after he was elected, and because after he was elected, he suddenly developed amnesia. Among those promises was his promise to be a more transparent, accessible mayor. So he spent the entire first year of his administration on pre-K because thats his wifes pet project. While he fulfilled this particular promise and even hired an assistant for his wife at $170,000 a year, though Chirlane McCray had no defined role in NYC government, de Blasio got his pre-K while all his other promises fell by the wayside. Meanwhile, few New Yorkers knew that the surname de Blasio was just one of 3 aliases he used while in NYC politics. From the outset of the de Blasio administration there were questions when the FBI instituted an investigation into campaign contribution fraud. That was followed by a scandal involving his intervention in getting a friend out of jail. This episode was followed by yet another scandal involving his speeding through NYC streets in an NYPD patrol car, after which he lectured New Yorkers about pedestrian safety and lowered the speed limit. Along the way, he decided to seek counsel about how to deal with racial divisiveness in NYC from Al Sharpton, who began to show up at public events on one side of him while his wife stood on the other and it became clearly evident that de Blasio had chosen a side. Did this help racial tensions in NYC?? Then one day a Staten Island man named Eric Garner was murdered by the NYPD in broad daylight for a petty crime which to this day was never proven. Even with video evidence of this murder and a Medical Examiners report that it was a homicide, de Blasio did nothing to facilitate the indictment that shouldve been mandated in this case. But he could make a phone call to get a friend freed from jail. New Yorkers then took to the streets to protest this injustice and instead of responding to this outrage, de Blasio - with the help of Commissioner Bratton - tried to shut the protests down. Along the way, he managed to flap his lips and confirm the existence of police brutality when he revealed that hed coached his son about how to use caution when dealing with the police. This, of course, outraged the NYPD thats been waging tyranny on NYC citizens for decades and alienated them, putting NYC citizens at risk. The NYPD responded by uninviting de Blasio from all police funerals. As fate would have it, shortly thereafter 2 NYPD officers were executed while sitting in their patrol car in Brooklyn. The NYPD blamed this on de Blasio because it claims that he incited violence against the police. Actually, that was only one reason these 2 innocent cops were murdered. The other reasons were de Blasios failure to get justice for Eric Garner, another was his lecture to his son that he made public and the last was that NYC citizens finally got tired of police brutality. Then de Blasios promise to be a transparent, accessible Mayor went down the toilet too, as he tried to hide from these failures, remained unresponsive to the concerns of New Yorkers and built a fence around Gracie Mansion without permits. Displeasure has steadily grown among NYC citizens and while de Blasio now pleads for understanding and unity, he threw his pal Al Sharpton under a bus along with the NYPD, as he so cavalierly threw NYCs homeless animals under the same bus. Coincidentally, recently People For the Ethical Treatment of animals (PETA) gave de Blasio its Person of the Year award. This is significant because PETA thinks homeless animals should be executed and that all Pit Bulls should be eradicated. So de Blasios shelter reform promise, like all his other promises, was consumed by his amnesia as he sat silent while hundreds of homeless animals were executed. Meanwhile, his more pet-friendly homes promise disappeared along with his more affordable housing promise and he did nothing to repeal an illegal housing law that throws people out of their homes using their pets as an excuse, drives up rents and sentences more animals to die. So this bus under which de Blasio throws the NYPD, a friend, NYC citizens and homeless animals seems to be de Blasios community project and its getting pretty crowded down there. Clearly, Bill de Blasio is out of his depth as NYC Mayor, an opportunist and self-serving. He says and does whatever is most expedient at a given moment. Because of this, Ive taken to referring to him as the Artful Dodger, that thinks he can play all sides to the middle. Under de Blasios reign, in just one short year, NYC has degenerated into chaos. Four people are dead, the city is more divided than it has been in years and progress is non-existent. This is not a man that should be running the greatest city on earth because if he remains in office it wont be great for much longer. petitions.moveon.org/s…/resignation-of-new-york.fb48… Sign the petition: Resignation of New York City mayor Bill DeBlasio I just signed a petition to The New York State House, The New York State Senate, and Governor Andrew Cuomo: NYC residents demand the exit of Mayor Bill...
