Losing a dog at any time is so painful but I am so lost at the thought of my strong Tugboat leaving us - she has always been the trooper, the happy girl, the alpha female who just had to look sideways to get respect - she is my warrior girl and always been in charge and I realize how much I need her as much as she has needed me - thank you my strong brave girl for always finding reason to wag your tail and to run outside to chase whatever got your attention - your pure joy in living day to day for every moment - I will not let you down - when you need to go I will let you as my own selfish ways would make me want to keep you far longer - your sister Tumble has known no life without you and I cant imagine how she will be but I will do my best to console her - animals teach us what true love is all about as well as acceptance of the final journey - I will not keep you going with chemo because I cant bare to let you go - you will have a lavish last supper with all that you have been denied - prime rib and ice cream that your poor delicate tummy couldnt handle - you will get it all when its time to go to the bridge - I love you my beautiful Tugboat
