Loss today of one of the great Southern Statesman and a true giant -- Howard Baker. His legacy stands as another example of a true public servant. Oh why cant they makem like this anymore? He was famous for many things, but one of my favorites was not that celebrated. He went home often and when he met a constituent he not only remembered them but would ask about their Mom or Grandmother, remembering an ailment they may have had the last time they talked. Southern politicians of both parties used to have this knack. Now they fly off to California for fundraisers instead of showing up for the local wingding, festival, parade or rodeo. RIP Senator Baker
