#LostAndFoundThursdays: Three types of data transfer you use on a regular basis, maybe without even knowing it. #Interrupt - This type of data is reserved for devices that send short bursts of data to the host machine. An example would be a mouse or keyboard device. #Bulk- Bulk data transfer is reserved for USB devices that are going to be receiving or transmitting massive amounts of data. In bulk mode, data is sent in 64 byte packets and then verified. USB devices that utilize this data transfer are printers, USB Flash drives, and USB hard drives to name a few. #Isochronous- The third and final type, this transfer mode is used for USB devices which require real time data transfer, known as a stream. Isochronous data transfer does not verify any data transferred. USB powered speakers would be a classic example of a device that would use isochronous data transfer. #discinc #DataTransfer #technology #Houston #data
