Lots has been happening here at Findlay Equestrian in both the eventing and dressage arenas! Sièc was a great show with the midweek proving to be a great warmup for my two bigger horses, Remi Wyntermere who did his first 1* and my beautiful Twinklestoes who went round the 3*. Both then backed up at the weekend and were super, Twinks was amazing making what proved to be a seriously tough 3* track feel easy to finish 6th, she truely is one in a million! Nik as we call him cruised around his first 1* and got me very excited as he felt better than ever, I think he will truely be a big course horse. The little kids were super too, Charlotte Mavris Alfie or BF Valour was awesome encouraging me to upgrade him on the weekend to prelim, only problem with the bigger fences was that Alfie thought it meant he had to jump the top of the wings over every fence, hence jumping me off in the show jumping to land on my bum after the finish flags (luckily!!). He is such a super horse, never out of the top three after dressage and obviously plenty of jump, so watch this space!! My other little baby was Jeanan Yaseens 4 year old Elvis. He was fantastic too though showing his greenness in the dressage, he is a very special cross country horse, infact I would be putting my neck out to say the most natural cross country horse I have ever trained! Lucky for me our partnership will be for a while, so after a spell we will be back out to take you all on! On the flip side I have been very privlaged to be training a young bull who is Bloomers Twinkletoes and Bloomers Celsianas half brother Bloomers Simply the Best. We have been hitting the dressage scene with huge success, he is only 4 but at his first few shows he has received 4 scores over 74% and come home with at least one if not 2 blue ribbons each show!! This young stallion has the most incredible nature and is just so trainable, I couldnt love him more! He has been classified with ACE to get the elite status, as did his only 2 foals, one colt and one filly. He floats across the dressage arena, has serious spunk factor and has just started his jumping of which he truely loves!! Next year he will try eventing too! So anyone looking to breed an eventer or dressage horse his cross of tb mare and Sunny Boy sire has been amazing, just ask anyone who has seen him, contact me for details!!
