Lots of amazing comments, but a few people have expressed concern that would shouldnt focus on the negative, or that its beneath us to have to state for the record that we (by and large) are good people with beautiful values. I wish this wasnt necessary. I wish the world (including fellow Jews) didnt judge the Orthodox community by the worst of the bunch. But they do. So we must speak out against their behavior and publicize what were really about. Or else, as the Talmud states shtika khodaah - silence is like agreement.
