Lots of discussion on the decline of the numbers of baptisms and church membership, which can have some merit; It is always well to get thought that many of the previous numbers when the numbers were up --were not that accurate; Remember going to baptist church after baptist church -that they had 500 on the membership rolls on only 120 or even less in attendance on any given service except Christmas and Easter. Then, it is also good to discuss what we have done wrong or even what we have done right-- but the truth is also, we can do everything right but the Holy Spirit has to convict and convert--and the danger in not remembering that--is developing "false converts" Matthew 7; The best solution: Prayer, saturation evangelism, and remember --there is nothing wrong with the seed --we just need to get it out and be faithful to aggressively be obedient to the GREAT COMMISSION.
