Lots of shows coming up as always, but Ive been plagued with vocal issues off and on for the last couple months. I finally got to see an ear, nose and throat doctor last week and he sent a pretty amazing camera down my throat. Turns out I ruptured blood vessels and such in my left vocal chord and had some hemorrhaging. Yikes! :( The good news is NO vocal nodes so no surgery. The bad news is Im somehow supposed to on total vocal rest for an indeterminate amount of time...but Im booked into December between shows and recording. And every show is special to me. I never want to stop. Case in point, I have a show coming up at Old Ironsides in November with Hans! and the HOT MESS and my LONG time friend, Cardel Daniels and his new band Tuolomne. Also playing are Bellygunner, ( Christopher Gabriel Nelsons band with wife Peggy) and Damon Wyckoff is even opening. I cant miss a show like that! Especially when we get to come together and do absolutely ridiculously stupid stuff like this video to promote it! Im taking it a day at a time and trying somehow NOT TO TALK!! The doc recommended local honey so I guess Ill be hitting up local beekeeper and musician Kevin Senser. Prayers please! Had to cancel a show tomorrow in Davis, but Im still planning on hitting Ten22 this Friday and Saturday for my monthly sets from 7-10pm. Got some new songs too.
