Lotus Biscoff. Delicious little brittle golden biscuits. I love them. Lotus also sell jars of their delicious biscuit, but as a spread, to spread on bread and biscuits. My wife buys it. I sort of like it but it is so exactly like the taste and colour of the biscuits that it is obviously merely the biscuits reduced to a wet paste somehow, and I cannot, for the life of me, decide upon a process of transformation from biscuit to wet paste, that leaves me assured by any sense of it being an attractive process. I have weened myself off the idea that they pay pensioners to chew the biscuits then lop the mulch into jars via retchy little tongue actions, but I cant improve on the more realistic idea that Lotus have, for obvious hygiene reasons, made the pensioners redundant in preference for giant chrome mechanical pensioners who can chew many more biscuits at a much faster rate and deposit the resulting logs of mechanically digested slop more efficiently into the jars out of a different hole to the one the biscuits are fed into. Its better than the organic pensioners theory but it still doesnt make me feel good when I eat it. In the future our robotic masticator overlords will chew our food for us and all meals will be presented in reusable suckling cans.
