Louden Noxious, longtime Kaiju announcer, facing last call at Shpadoinkal Mania 20 The voice of the Big Battel is silencing himself on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014 at Kaiju Big Battels Shpadoinkel Mania 20. Thats right Louden Noxious is retiring after a 20-year career in which he commentated on the lives, deaths, ups and downs of Kaiju Fighters across America and beyond. The reason Im retiring is because I want to retire, he said this week. The brains over at Robodynamics put together this door thingy that can get you across to another alternate dimension. They call it the Infinity Portal. I found a timeline where Im even more rich and famous, so I thought hey 20 years is a good run Im going to go live the good life the other me worked so hard to create. The 38-year-old announcers career began with a lie. A friend of Louden pitched him to a man looking for someone to call pig races at a county fair in Iowa, explaining that Louden was the assistant track announcer at Griller Park outside Baltimore. No such luck as the man was from Baltimore, but Louden did get run out of the small town in 1998 and started on a life of trouble and bad decisions until his uncle, the Kaiju Commissioner at the time, gave him a job to keep him off the streets. In college calling fights was an act, Louden said. Id get up on top of the bar and my friends start running around the bar punching strangers and Id call the bar fight... it was a great way to pick up girls Louden figures he found the job he was meant for in the announcers booth. Hes an man who loves to talk and as an orphan he was always seeking attention. Being Greek helped, too. After working his way up from the Kaiju mail room, Louden announced his first Kaiju show in 2001 and continued calling the world of danger alone until 2005, when he was joined by Beav. He called the death of Pablo, Shpadionkel Mania 18 and All out War 2: The Search for the Golden Treasure for Kaiju during a 13-year run starting in 2001 He stepped down in 2011, citing the stress of the job only to come back a week later in exchange for a new Nintendo DS. Monday, he announced that he would end his career this October at Shpadoinkel Mania 20. Loudens biggest regret is his HeMan joke from Roxy Rampage. He made a joke about Battle Cat and the audience failed to notice, they were just yelling so loud they didnt hear me. He worked on that joke for days and it put every one he told back stage in stitches. It is truly fitting to see Mr. Noxious take his final bow at Shpadoinkal Mania 20, a place that he loves and where he is truly beloved, said Current Kaiju Commissioner Woolly Mammoth. The way Louden uses his voice to build to a crescendo is unparalleled, and the words he uses to describe fights are pure magic, he said. Dont miss Loudens last stand at Stage 48 in Hells Kitchen, October 11.
