Louie, rather near the end. And yet: NOT defeated. We all recall Louie as a vibrant soul. I have so many wonderful first-hand memories of his incredibly electric spirit. Later, I knew his sufferings. Held his hand as he cried. I uttered words of encouragement, prayed to God I wouldnt cry myself as I did so. BUT... Hed want you to remember him as the FIERY soul he was. The incredible showman. As long as he drew breath, the show was never over. So look in on this, too, because here you will find the portrait of a man who did not know the meaning of the word surrender. Louies spirit still burns bright - for all those who were his friends, and by the way, that includes ALL of you who were watching at home, through all of the years on DARK SHADOWS and ALL MY CHILDREN. You should know how very much he loved and treasured each and every one of you. You should only know how much...but you always sensed it, didnt you? So maybe Ill see you another time. Yes, I think we will,dear Louie. Yes, I believe we all will.
