Louisana’s governor Bobby Jindal is telling medical experts - TopicsExpress

Louisana’s governor Bobby Jindal is telling medical experts coming to the state for an international conference on how to treat Ebola that they’ll be confined to their hotel rooms if they’ve been in Ebola-affected countries in the past 21 days. Maine’s right wing-nut governor Paul LePage is determined to quarantine nurse Kaci Hickox, now in Maine, who continues to test negative for Ebola and shows no signs of the disease. Why is it that every governor can come up his own half-assed Ebola policy? Governors can’t decide what can be imported into their state, or who can immigrate to their state, or dictate that everyone who enters their state with, say, measles, be quarantined. If Ebola is a potential threat to the public health of the nation, the policy for dealing with it should be uniform across the nation. Or have I missed something?
