Love Letter to Christ Adonai, Adonai, you are the One and Only You promised to never forsake me or leave me lonely I love you because you first loved me I choose you because you first chose me You whispered in my ear when no one was around me I was lost but I am thankful You found me You were always right beside me You were there to guide me You followed me even when my footsteps disappeared I was far away but you gently pulled me near I used to walk looking down, full of shame But little did I know You already took the blame By Your stripes, I am healed You are my shield I was as stubborn as steel but Your fiery love makes me yield I used to dream of being a light for someone else and now Your everlasting light dwells in me I used to dream of living forever in a castle and now I am promised eternal life in the Most High Heavens I used to dream, yes I used to, but now my dreams are reality Old things have passed away, such a fatality I shall never thirst or hunger again You are the bread of life, the true and living God Who shares His living water And I just thank You for who You are and not what You give I live because You live I have tasted and seen, therefore I believe in the unseen with all my might Now I walk by faith and not by sight By Sarah Gaskin
