Love and Learn~Barbra Streisand Barbra Streisand (born Barbara Joan Streisand 24/4/1942) is an American singer and songwriter, author, actress, film producer, and director. She has won two Academy Awards, eight Grammy Awards, five Emmy Awards including one Daytime Emmy, a Special Tony Award, an American Film Institute award, a Kennedy Center Honors award, a Peabody Award, four Golden Globes, and is amongst seventeen entertainers who have won an Oscar, Emmy, Grammy, and Tony Award. It was also Streisands last album to make the Top 10 until 1971, when Stoney End reached #10. Love and Learn is a song composed by Michel Legrand with lyrics by Norman Gimbel. Michel Jean Legrand (born 24/2/1932) is a French musical composer, arranger, conductor, and pianist. Legrand is a prolific composer, having written over 200 film and television scores in addition to many memorable songs. He is best known for his often haunting film music and scores, such as The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (1964) and The Thomas Crown Affair (1968) featuring the song The Windmills of Your Mind for which he won his first Academy Award. Norman Gimbel (born 16/11/1927) is an American lyricist of popular songs, television and movie themes whose writing career includes such titles as Sway, Canadian Sunset, Summer Samba, The Girl from Ipanema, Killing Me Softly with His Song, Meditation (I Will Wait for You), along with an Oscar for It Goes Like It Goes - from the film Norma Rae. He was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1984.
