Love can be easy, or it can be a battle royale. Some love can suffocate one and invigorate the other. Some loves are a long arduous journey, grinding down one, not the other. Some loves start tepid and never really heat up. And some loves begin like a spring flood, rushing you forward headlong, then dry up and become a barely sustainable trickle. Love is life. Ever changing, challenging both to change or be left behind. And sometimes one is left behind, alone. Then you learn you must love yourself and that is the hardest love affair of all.
