Love covers sin, it doesnt expose it. I used to think of love covering sin like love taking care of it, like I got you covered bro, and it does - however it also covers it and hides it. Love keeps one anothers sins on the DL. Sadly, most people are so quick to point peoples sin out, as if their goal is for the whole world to know whats wrong with everyone. They do it through gossip, harsh words and complaining (about their spouse, friends, bosses and kids). The next time you are tempted to point out someones flaws, remember if you desire to be more loving toward people, and show Gods love, we need to desire to cover sin, not reveal it. I pray I can be the kind of person who covers sin and reveals the goodness that is in everyone. Even the most messed up people have value. I will try to find those traits and reveal those instead. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8 Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs. Proverbs 10:12
