Love does still exists in many ways and on all levels, for each and every one of us. Too often, we spend time looking on the outside of ourselves, things, money, power, fame you fill in the blank for you . We all often take for granted the power of just being. Being ourselves , we expend too much energy on what` we do instead of who` we are. Expending much time, energy and waste burning the fuel again only to fill up then what? The enormous strength and power inside us all is a spirit , a soul delivered via any believe that you may have it is still a common thread of purpose not power, purpose in your calling and why you ARE needed here . What I know , trust , feel and so believe is bottom line as nothing else matters is LOVE. Beyond the drama, chaos , strife, and millions of other problems we all face we all see what is around us sure but do we pay ENOUGH attention? When I recently went with my partner Mike D Hassel to Oprahs The Life You Want Tour in Miami I stayed Aloft Miami Brickell for Oprah Winfrey for I have followed her for years and she is one reason I become who I am today. Taking transport via train, I noticed so many homeless , people around seem to shutter at the presence , seeing only the outside , not the human being , perhaps for what ever reason , we do not know or judge , but a Soul. Thus just for a temporary loss or at a lost in the life they are having now. It touched me so, I went back to the hotel grabbed some bags filled them up with fruit , crackers, water, lotions, soaps, magazines, and other items. I had only 4 bags and the day we left my partner already knew what I wanted to do and as I passed the first four homeless, I gave, not only a bag of things, but my eye contact, a hand shake, a hug , and a silent wish and a prayer for each of them. One thing that Iyanla Vanzant mentioned on stage is that we are and have the power even in the smallest amounts. And joy was brought to my heart when Elizabeth Gilbert told of her journey and took all the challenges. One thing I knew as it did was change my partners heart and soul from this event , it is and was a life changing event for him. He was not only touched but stunned from the truth said that words spoken on stage seemed to soar into his being and after Iyanla Vanzant spoke he and I left and he started tearing up. I knew this was the right thing to do. Of course I tweeted , this was beyond church or worship , this was heaven . Beyond a Thanks to the Entire Staff and Crew with OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network Much Thank you for doing a small thing as being you , and all that you all do each and every day, for you know you did save a special someones life and gave them back a purpose of love, faith and hope and allowed them to surrender to only what matters?
