Love is special, family is a blessing and friendship is forever. My 1st best friend passed away yesterday. My grandma spoiled me rotten ever since I was a child and we shared secrets like little girls. If I ever needed to just get away, my grandmas house was always available and she was always ready to make me papas and tortillas :) no matter what time it was. Most importantly, she showed us what true love was. She made every single person feel as if they were her #1 priority, and she always had time to listen to you. She was the hardest worker and she loved to work. She loved her daddy, her family and Jesus. But she just loved to love :) I feel so lucky to have slept with her in bed the night before she passed and even though her words were not well understood, with our eyes we spoke just we did when I was a little girl, sharing secrets of fear, excitement, and love. I would not be here today if it were not for her. She was a mother of 9 kids by birth but a mother of hundreds by love. The one thing I ask or hope to share is: appreciate your family, respect the power we all have to give and share love, take the time to be thankful, and work hard but not too often that you forget to live the life you love. Pray for peace for my grandma, I know she is already dancing and smiling up in heaven and probably cooking for my tio juanito, my Ita and Ito.
