Love is . . . the Celebration of Samhain. Is everybody in . . . is everybody in, the ceremony is about to begin. The commencement traditionally at the sunset on October 31st, All Hallows Eve and finishes at sunset on November 1st, All Saints Day, although depending on your geographical location may continue till November 11th, Veteran’s Day in the United States. As well, November 2nd, celebrating All Souls Day or Day of the Dead, and others. Samhain signifies the final Harvest of Autumn as winter sumberly, silently creeps upon us. As one of the Sabbats from the Year of the Wheel, Wiccans consider Samhain the most important of all celebrations due to its link to those who have died, paying respects to our ancestors, elders to the faith, family members, friends and even pets. Spirits of the Dead are welcomed. And although Samhain is considered a Festival of Darkness, its balance is the Celebration of Beltane, a spring Festival of Light and Fertility. There are feastings of food and drink, dancing around bonfires, and building altars to honor deceased ancestors. Even though Hallows Eve falls during the same time as Samhain, one has nothing to do with the other. The first one is a secular event, and the other is a time for spiritual awakening. youtube/watch?v=d2UjiUGrCgQ
