Love it. I have many favourite pieces of art. But nothing has moved me as much as seeing Starry Night at the Met. Its the only time ever, that I wondered if the painting was plugged into the wall! The movement was so alive. This painting is similar to most art, in that the reproductions in a book or the internet, do not do it justice. Paintings are experiential. You must actually visualize them with your naked eye to be drawn into the aura of the pigments. Van Gogh was an Aries. And although many Aries are way too in their heads, it can serve them. Insane geniuss. Ive told this story of my experience with Starry Night for decades, but never once saw an article address it before. I thought maybe it was just my own madness . This is a validation for me. Maybe Im insane as well. But I get what Van Gogh was conveying with pigment. Every brushstroke.......a Masterpiece.
