Love just doesnt die. My ex-husband and I divorced about 35 years ago, but when he died last night, my heart broke just the same. He was grumpy, gruff and kinda rough around the edges, basically pretty impossible to live with. But those of us who knew him, still loved him and will miss that he is no longer walking the planet. My tears that wont stop took me by surprise, but he will always be the father of our son. He will always be the man that charmed me with flowers and proposed with cake. He will always be my partner in sharing a few years in a tipi on top of a wild ass mountain. He will always be the man that called every Mothers Day to thank me for being such a good mom. My tears wont stop quite yet, but they are really for MY loss. They are tears for my son and his loss. They arent tears for Gary, because I know that he is actually free now. I dont know what comes next or even what his experience in this lifetime was all about. But I do know that he was loved deeply - and that that will never go away. RIP Gary King
