Love looks like something. It is not an airy fairy abstract concept but a tangible reality that can be expressed and understood in different ways depending on the needs of those around us. I think sometimes our idea of Love can get restricted by the views of the world, and so it is vitally important that we make time to be with God, to be intimate with Him, to be consumed by Him. And in that place of secret intimacy, our vision of Love is expanded. So whether your love today looks like sponsoring a child in Zimbabwe so that they can eat, releasing a miracle on someones body or inviting someone to follow Jesus, make sure you are making time to be with the One you love. (this is not a business growth plan, this is a wild love story). Jesus makes it clear through Pauls first letter to the Corinthian church (ch13) that love is the main focus, and if we have not love, then whatever were doing is kind of futile really. So whether were in areas of government to try and change nations, being a voice for the voiceless, doing streetwork and evangelism, being a light in an accounting office or working for a church, let us do it IN LOVE. Let that be the first focus. And there is no fear in love. The perfect love of Jesus simply casts it out. Shaka bam.
