Love spring break! Love my colleague, Kim Song...she knows how to play and sketch out the various research questions emerging from our QTEL work...now, time to create the logic of inquiry for the piece. Heres what thinking aloud looks like! Will be a fabulous manuscript of what counts as an innovating TESOL/ELL-focused learning community, how it emerged over time, and, the habits of action and habits of mind that constitute sharing membership in this community. Some big questions are around if our epistemological orienting views of learning processes, how we view collaborating, how we view disciplinary practices, how we view critically reflecting, MAKE A DIFFERENCE, then what difference does that difference make in teachers professional practices, student learning? And what does that look like over time, within the year in which they are a QTEL cohort. Were studying the ways that ResponsiveDesigns 3 Durable Practices take hold, and evolve as innovating tools, as Inquiring Into My Practice (IIMPs) and ThinkingParnters become commonplace for what constitutes being effective teachers. Fabulous stuff!
