Love this. The problem is not our kids but our educational model. I remain amused that universities value research - unless it is the educational research that shows that it is sheer folly to force students into large lecture halls and expect them to pay attention for 90 minutes straight. I break up my lectures with video and iclicker questions, but my biggest challenge is the physical structure of the room. I would love to challenge students in teams to analyze and report back, but the setting does not allow it.
