Love this guy ~ Scotland has a huge opportunity and challenge in front of them ~ I hope they take it and run with it. Whats more, I think that England has an identity that goes way beyond David Cameron style politics or even the concept of itself as a part of a union. I hope that the backlash from a Yes vote will start an avalanche of reform in the British political system. I think largely the English people feel disenfranchised and powerless to change the direction of their own country without being responsible for 3 others. Their foreign policy looks increasingly schizoid in that it doesnt want to offend anyone coming into the country by imposing leveling or restrictive policies while following the US around the world on a bicep flexing, steroid driven power and resource grab! England is the home of so much that I love in life, good people, literature, music, philosophy, cinema and even democracy that I hope it sees a separation as a good time to change itself for the better while being fair enough to allow Scotland to do the same without reprisals or even more ugly politics.
