Love this story. I was with the Armed Forces American Red Cross in Germany (as a volunteer emergency case worker) when soldiers were deploying. I remember one Colonels wife being very upset because we were giving the tired soldiers pieces of candy while they were out-processing. . Her thought was that they (the soldiers) needed to be tough because they were headed to a war zone. My thought was that they needed to be loved becaused they werent going to be loved for a very long time. This beautiful spirited lady gave them (leaving and returning) exactly what they needed, Love.
