Love what Karl Lagerfeld created for Fall/Winter 2014. He captured street wear ready clothing, and brought sportswear to the grocery store. Clothing that is wearable, comfortable and stylish are elements of the future of fashion. Karl took over Co Co Chanels brand/line decades ago, he still remains to keep her spirit alive, or the designers vision alive with the signature cuts, fabrics, silhouettes, however with his own interpretive vision. This doesnt always work for most designers are individual in their design aesthetic, however in this case, Co Co brought an entire movement and changed the design industry as a pioneer, thst went from very rigid and immobile clothing, to more free and liberated classics, both formal and casual, celebrating jersey stretch fabrics, bias cuts etc. Karl Lagerfeld created a sleek palette, with lots of color, texture, and embellishment, with the industry savvy know how of what and why transitioning ready-to-wear clothing into individual looks for daily life is important, even more so conducive for the trends. Its not drama, its down to earth fashion that is made to be worn, and I think he demonstrates this effectively, without compromising style, enthusiasm, while looking fresh and alert. That is what makes fashion move and inspiring, being appealing to our connection with clothing, and the artistic attribute of energy, life, and instigating the ultimate looks so that we can always feel and look the moment, for our own lifes interpretation, and nothing else.
