Love you mum, I may not have the courage to tell you this face to face but this is from the bottom of my heart. .... You wake up at 5.....daily. no shoes to wear...now immune to the dew that bites at your feet...., u milk the cows....your fingers are now fully adopted to the freezing cold.....you prepare tea for the family....you want to wash utensil but oh damn theres no running water, you have to rush down to the stream n back up the hill with a 20 liter container strapped on your head n leaning heavily on your back....that same back that now has oblivious pain, the extensive damage involved....you want to cook lunch for the us but theres no microwave, gas, or electric cooker....she has to fetch firewood....irrespective of the pain caused by the piercings from thorns in the bush....you light the fire, to her smoke is not the health hazard that you n me know, its part of the recipe.....yeah Guys, those are some of the few struggles that most kalenjin mamas go thro.....like if u appreciate.
