Loved ones are finally preparing to bury MH17 victim Liam Sweeney after his body was brought back to Tyneside. The body of the devoted Toon fan was driven back to the region today (Thurs) - just days after his family made the emotional trip to Amsterdam to repatriate him to the UK. Liam’s dad Barry, 52, of Killingworth, North Tyneside, says the family are now making preparations for Liam’s funeral which will take place next week. And he told the Chronicle that he wanted everyone to celebrate Liam’s life. Barry, a full-time carer to wife Lesley, 53, said: “He is on his way home. The funeral director went down to pick him up and he will be going to the chapel of rest. “It’s just all starting to move on now.
