Loved the first episode of PENNY DREADFUL on Showtime. Its dark and twisted - full of surprises and a really great cast. Eva Green (as Vanessa Ives) was always going to be great (Im loving that shes having a fantastic year!) - but I must say, Im pleasantly surprised by Josh Hartnett (as Ethan Chandler). I forgot how good he was...where did he go all these years? I do have a sneaking suspicion though that the breakout stars of this series are going to be Harry Treadaway as Dr. Victor Frankenstein and Rory Kinnear as The Creature. Im already in love with their subplot and their characters. ...and to think, in the coming weeks, we have Dorian Gray (Reeve Carney) coming into the series.
