Loved this short by Wes Anderson. A talented artist friend of mine, Brent, sent it to me. I dont know what other people think, but my first read is that Anderson is poking light-hearted fun at the dont center subjects rule that photographers and cinematographers talk about when they discuss good composition. Yea, I understand the rules of composition, and for the most part I agree that they make sense. But what I was JUST talking about to my friend Lynn yesterday, before I even saw this short, was that sticking to those rules in an inflexible way is not my style. Im going to go with what my eye finds intuitively pleasant, and thats the primary rule I plan to follow. Many time, I probably intuitively do follow the rules, but sometimes rules can be broken with a successful result. Wes proves that point here in this short, I think.. vimeo/89302848
