Lovely community day yesterday at the EcoVillage in Currumbin Valley, celebrating the naming of Chris Walton Oval in recognition of Chriss contribution to sustainable living on the Gold Coast (and everywhere else for that matter!) It was a bit rainy from time to time, but that did not dampen the spirit of a community coming together to remember and give thanks for the life and contribution that Chris Walton made. For those who knew him, he showed us all that life is an adventure well worth the living! Thanks to the very talented students of Currumbin Valley State School for their wonderful performances, (and to the P&C for the cakes!) and to all the community groups and services that attended. Thanks also to Phil Treby and the band. Im hoping the EcoVillage kids made a packet on their lemonade stall and can now afford a bit more skate board equipment! That lemonade was good stuff!
